Draftfcb Chief Diversity Officer Named AAF 2013 Educator Supplier Diversity Team Takes Top Mosaic Honor
Two Draftfcb diversity and inclusion champions were honored today by The American Advertising Federation (AAF) at the organizations 2013 Diversity Achievement and Mosaic Awards luncheon in New York City.
Keisha Vaughn, Draftfcbs chief diversity officer, was named the AAFs 2013 Diverse Educator at the Diversity Achievement Awards. Nausil Kumandan, Draftfcbs supplier diversity manager, led the agency toward its Mosaic Award honor as a Multiethnic Supplier Partner.
Since joining the agency in 2007, Vaughn has been a tireless crusader of diversity and inclusion initiatives inside the network and throughout the agency community. She has successfully made D&I a business imperative at Draftfcb and has increased awareness of the aspirations and obstacles minority groups face. Vaughn trumpets the fact that the best ideas are generated when a diverse group of people sit at the same table.
"Diversity and inclusion is part of Draftfcbs DNA and Im thrilled to lead our charge toward diversifying our agency and the advertising industry," said Vaughn. "While proud of our many accomplishments, it is taking too long to achieve unencumbered inclusion. Kumandan, who in July snared a Merge Inclusion Award from parent company IPG in the supplier diversity category, said todays honor makes him "more committed to finding partnership opportunities for small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses."
IPG also won a Mosaic Award in the workforce diversity category today.
