SimCity: Let's All Be Mayor Wins FWA Site of the Day Award
To launch the first SimCity in almost a decade, Draftfcb San Francisco gave the world an interactive sneak peak of the game in a live online event called “Let’s All Be Mayor.” For seven days, the world joined forces to decide the fate of a different city each day and watched the results of their collective decisions play out in real time.
Reflecting on the stats that have come in from the game, we had some great results. It's no wonder that on March 31 “Let’s All Be Mayor” was named an FWA (Favourite Website Awards)Site of the Day Award winner.
The FWA is an industry-recognized internet awards program with over 170 million site visits as of 2012. It is the most visited website award program in the history of the internet and is dedicated to recognizing amazing digital work.
